Hacking through Polaroid gallery – Javascript control – Add picture on the fly
June 23rd, 2010 adminChristopher Einarsrud developed the interface we use on ifacesearch. The original flash based polaroid gallery is available on his website. We made some modifications on this excellent gallery to adapt it to our needs. We hope you can find here some tricks to adapt it to yours. The modified .fla source code is available here.
What we needed :
- Transparent background
- Control from JavaScript
- Add picture on the fly
- Add link to original picture (arrow)
Basically we hacked through the code and most of the modifications took place in actions of frame 3. The code is not well documented as Christopher mentioned on this website. Anyway there are no major difficulties to understand it, even if you don’t speak norwegian.
